Black Pepper(Organic and Convectional):
The best grown black pepper is from the Western Ghats in southwest coast of India where peppercorn plantation first originated. The landscape and geography provide the prefect micro-climate for the growth of black pepper. The berries, also known as black gold, have a slight greenish hue and have a bold, well-rounded taste, with a slight fruity edge
Black Pepper comes from the berries of the pepper plant. Black pepper colour is a reflection of varying stages of development and processing methods. Black peppercorns are made by picking the pepper berries when they are half ripe and just about to turn red. They are then left to dry which causes them to shrivel and become dark in colour. Black pepper has demonstrated impressive antioxidant and antibacterial effects – yet another way in which this wonderful seasoning promotes the health of the digestive tract. And not only does black pepper help you derive the most benefit from your food, the outer layer of the peppercorn stimulates the breakdown of fat cells, keeping you slim while giving you energy to burn.
Kerala State has been a traditional grower of black pepper all these years and was told that it produces about 96% of the Indian output. The Ministry of Commerce in India had given importance and even headquartered the Spices Board in this traditional State. But the things have changed from the last few years, Karnataka State has emerged as the major producer of about 55% of the India’s output. but has been unnoticed by most of the pioneers in this field. The districts of Chikmagalur, Kodagu & Hassan who are already famous in producing good quality coffee beans has been rigorously planting pepper vines as a inter-crop and this has led to the massive produce.
Earlier years, the farmers had a misconception that pepper was only a additional crop and did not pay much heed as the prices was also very meager. But now, due to prices increasing about 6 fold, farmers are taking utmost care in protecting the plants by modern farming methods. There are even farmers community organisation who get other farmers educated in terms of behavior of plants to prevent diseases and to improve the production. As we are closely associated with the farmers in terms mobility and geographically very well placed, Inflorescences are best source for the procurement of quality pepper with tolerance of 2% light berries.

White Pepper (Organic and Convectional):
White pepper consists of the seed only with the skin removed from the peppercorn. This is usually accomplished by a process known as retting. Where fully ripe berries are soaked in water for about a week, during which the flesh of the fruit softens and decomposes. Rubbing them removes what remains of the fruit and the naked fruit is dried.
